All candidates must possess an active TS/SCI with Full Poly Clearance per contract requirements.URS, Columbia, Maryland team has an immediate opening for an Architect / Interior Designer / Designer to join our team in our McLean, Virginia Project Office.The Columbia Office provides architectural and engineering design, design-build and construction services for Federal clients in the Washington area and throughout the world, with a scope of services and support encompassing all aspects of design and construction.The McLean, Virginia Project Office provides architectural and engineering design for interiors projects at a Federal facility.Primary job responsibilities consist of performing a wide range of architectural design, under the direction of the Contract Project Manager, for office renovation and relocation projects of moderate size and complexity within approved schedules and budgets. Coordination of technical activities with employees in other disciplines participating on an assigned project is required. Specific duties include interior field surveys, design, CAD drafting and some technical writing. Career development will be supervised from the Columbia Office.A full scope polygraph security clearance is required. Experience with is AutoCAD required.

Designer
The Washington, DC office of LandDesign, Inc. has an immediate opening for a talented designer.
The potential candidate should be bright, talented and energetic with a minimum of 2 years design experience.
Required Skill Set:
1. Intellectual curiosity about the design profession and ability to improve skill set and experiences on a daily basis.
2. Exemplary design skills with ability to clearly and concisely illustrate design intent.
3. Exceptional presentation, hand drawing and computer skills with demonstrated expertise in:
a. PhotoShop
b. SketchUp
c. AutoCAD
d. InDesign
Additional capabilities such as GIS (ArcView) and enhanced 3D modeling skills are a plus.
4. Bachelors (Masters preferred) degree in landscape architecture, architecture or urban design.
5. LEED certification is a plus
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work as a team member and collaborator is required.

As a Senior Applications Developer, you will lead the development and optimization of enterprise level business applications throughout the Rosetta Stone information systems environment. Work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with a 2009 project docket that includes implementing a new enterprise tax solution, launching a new Rosetta Stone product, integrating with new international web sites, and deploying with new payment providers.
Gain exposure to a wide array of up to date and enterprise level technologies and systems and work as a key member on a 24x7, globally distributed information systems team comprised of applications developers, database administrators, business analysts, quality assurance analysts, and applications specialists. This will be a unique opportunity to gain experience integrating with domestic and international tax and credit card processing systems; activation and licensing technologies; distribution center applications; call center applications; and other systems as required by the business. The Oracle e-business ERP system integrates with 25 different customized applications in total to include e-commerce/web applications, using SOAP and other direct integration techniques. This person will also have the ability to learn other technologies to include Java, C, C++, Pearl, PHP, Ruby, SOAP, Optio, and XML.
Strong predictors of success include the ability to own and drive development projects - this position needs to be able to drive and own complex development projects involving the Rosetta Stone Oracle ERP environment and other integrated business systems (potentially giving direction to other developers). The successful candidate will be able to come up to speed quickly on new technologies – we’re looking for a general technologist with a broad and senior level understanding of application development, Oracle development tools, various communication protocols, and databases.
Our ideal technologist is someone who can guide and mentor junior team members – day to day support and help, reinforcing best practices and coding standards, performing code reviews, helping with design, etc.
Key Accountabilities:
Achieve 90% of assigned project deliverable deadlines for 2009
Within the first 6 months, be an established go to person for teammates and mangers for guidance, suggestions, code reviews, and troubleshooting.
Produce senior level documentation (MD120s, MD70s, architecture diagrams, flow diagrams) for all development work with a redo percentage of less than 25%
Lead at least 2 cross training sessions per month
